もう一度、香りの真ん中へ～アーティスト牧かほり×「CAN BACK PROJECT」～

スチームクリームでは全国の常設ショップ全店と一部の期間限定ショップで、常時使用後のスチームクリームの空き缶を回収しています。

クリームをお使いいただいた後も、小物入れなどとしてリユースして楽しんでいただけるように個性豊かなデザインを生み続けていますが、不要になってしまった空き缶はお預かりし、主にアート支援活動として新しいHappinessに形を変えています。今回はスチームクリームのパッケージデザインもしてくださっている、アーティスト牧かほりに、回収した空き缶をアート作品の創作活動に活用していただきました。

（以下牧さんコメント） 私にとってSTEAMCREAM の一番のチャームポイントは「香り」です。
使うたびに気分をリフレッシュさせてくれ、かつ、やさしく癒してくれる魔法の香り。

デザイン缶のリユースを考えたときに、真っ先に花の中心に集まる缶の姿が浮かびました。 衣を変え、もう一度香りの真ん中から咲く、イメージ。

素敵な柄に着色するのはちょっと心が痛かったけれど、（←ここちょっとしたハードル！） 新たな装いのために意を決して、色は、まず私の大好きなルミナスカラーのピンク、ライトグリーン、花の中心なので、オレンジやイエローも登場。

手のひらサイズの丸いシェイプが重なり合い、新たな丸いシェイプを生んでいく、缶どうしがお互いの姿を写しながら、曲線を記していく可愛らしさ、予期せぬ色の重なり合い、しずくの跳ねっぷり、残像のような、予感のような予期せぬかたちを次々とつくっていき、こちらも美しいサプライズの連続をうっとり眺めておりました。

香りも未来も、触ることはできないけど確実にある。一瞬先のそれらが、できるだけいい香りであるように！

そう思いながら純真な心を目指してペイントしていきました。最後に装い新たな缶たちを、カラーインクで描いた花びらで包みました。綺麗に咲いているかな？

作品コンセプト（英文）

To the Center of the Scent Again

To me, the most charming feature of STEAMCREAM is its scent.

The magical scent refreshes my feelings with each use, while also providing gentle healing.

When I thought about how to reuse the tins with special designs, the first image that came to my mind was a collection of the tins in the middle of a flower.

The idea is for the tins to change their appearance and bloom again from the center of the scent.

Although it pained me a bit to add color to the wonderful designs (←this was a bit of an obstacle!),
I made up my mind for the new appearance and selected the colors of pink and light green, which are luminous colors that I love, along with orange and yellow, since they are in the middle of flowers.

I also stared longingly at the sequence of beautiful surprises, such as the palm-sized round shapes combining to produce a new round shape, the cuteness of the tins making curved lines while reflecting each other, the unexpected overlap of colors, the splashes of drops, and the sequential creation of unexpected shapes that are like residual images or premonitions.
Neither scents nor the future can be touched, but they surely exist.

May these elements that are a moment ahead have the nicest scent possible!

I painted while thinking these thoughts and aiming for a pure heart.

Finally, I wrapped the tins with new appearances in a petal drawn with colored ink.
